Substance Abuse Prevention Programs
An increasing number of colleges and universities are designing comprehensive alcohol- and substance-abuse prevention programs that place character at the heart of the issue. These programs extend beyond mere enforcement of campus rules to include activities that focus on changing perceptions and behaviors regarding alcohol and drug abuse.
At the core of these efforts are professionally designed and often student-led initiatives that equip students with skills to resist participating in peer cultures and community practices that lead to binge drinking and drug use.
