A grant to underwrite a special issue of Educational Record (Vol. 78:3-4) that focused on college and character

A grant to hold an invitation-only conference on Higher Education and Civic Responsibility

The Center for Academic Integrity.
A grant to enable the Center to design and implement an Academic Integrity Assessment and Action Guide. The final product will be an indispensable too for college and university administrators, faculty, and students troubled by academic dishonesty.

Campus Compact.
A grant to higher education's foremost service-learning organization to enable student leaders in colleges across the United States to interview college presidents about their views on civic responsibility and character development. The primary outcome of the project will be that each interview will be published in the campus and student newspapers. A secondary outcome is that 10-15 of the "best" interviews will be profiled in a national publication to be distributed by Campus Compact.

Institute on College Student Values.
A grant to support the Institute's annual conference that brings together scholars and campus administrators to examine the ethical development of young people during the college years
- Higher Education Research Institute.
A grant to scholar Helen Astin to conduct a multi-campus longitudinal study of factors that affect a young person's moral development during the college years.
